Rollout Calendar

Click here to listen to a UMConnect recording detailing an overview of rollout activities.

Below are calendars showing some of the important dates to remember as we near go-live of the financial system. The activity cutoff dates shown are high-level, project-based cutoff dates. If you have been given a different date by your RRC or BPO for cutoff of a particular activity, you should follow that date. Please note that dates are subject to change, and refer to the Office of Budget and Finance and the Accounting Services Web sites for more detailed calendars regarding cutoff dates for specific activities.

SPA and SFR have established cutover dates for processing of various sponsored projects transactions prior to converting to EFS. A complete, downloadable copy of their master cutover calendar and additional detail about what information is needed in order to process each type of transaction is available on the EFS-SP Web site at: http://www.ospa.umn.edu/temp_efs/documents/EFS-SPCutover.doc.

A few things to keep in mind:

  • PeopleSoft Financials is live for end-user transaction entry on July 1, 2008.
  • All activity affecting fiscal year 2009 must be recorded in PeopleSoft Financials.
  • All activity affecting fiscal year 2008 must be recorded in CUFS.
  • Fiscal year 2008 financial reporting will be done from CUFS and other legacy systems.

Some timeframes for project activities:

  • March to May – Production EFS systems built.
  • January to June – Manual conversion of vendors.
  • June 2 to August 16 – Automated and manual EFS conversion activities take place.
